The British Crime Survey recently showed crime in Britain is rising so here’s a few thoughts. Crime was already sky-high a few years ago. It’s so high a website to check local crime statistics jammed when too many worried citizens tried to check.

The UK has too many prisoners. They were even considering prison ships. There’s loads of problems in prisons including far too many drugs. People even break into prison to get drugs to buyers. Then we had riots across the UK. Unfortunately the statistics were fiddled because the police and Government have to be careful of public opinion so the statistics don’t show a massive spike.

Things are a mess so ask yourself will ignoring the decline in moral values in favour of an individualistic pursuit of self-interest (capitalism), privatisation of prisons (capitalism) or Coalition Government cuts to frontline policing just to protect Britain’s credit rating (capitalism) help?
